Goat Cheese Tamales

  1. 12 lbs. fresh masa

  2. 28 ounces lard or Shortening

  3. 31 ½ cups fresh goat cheese

  4. 41 cup roasted corn kernels

  5. 51 ½ ounces baking powder

  6. 61 bunch cilantro chopped

  7. 7salt to taste

  8. 82 ounces sugar

  9. 92 whole jalapenos  chopped

  10. 101 tablespoon lime juice

  11. 1124 dried corn husks soaked in water

  12. 121 medium onion diced


Method



Notes

Notes: Blend all ingredients except ; corn , cilantro , corn husks in a food processor until smooth. Fold in chopped cilantro and roasted corn
refrigerate for one hour
place 3 oz. ball in the center of a large corn husk , wrap and tie at both ends with a lace made from an extra husk.
Steam for 7 min.
serve

Serving Ideas: as an appetizer or for starch on main corse
